The Lower Madison flows out of Ennis Lake, and we primarily fish the river from the Warm Springs boat ramp down to Greycliff. The Lower Madison offers beautiful scenery in its upper sections before flowing into open prairie. This river is best fished early in the spring when water temperatures are cooler, with consistent and prolific bug hatches like caddis and Blue-Winged Olives. There is a diverse population of brown trout, rainbow trout, brook trout, cutthroat trout, and mountain whitefish.
